Urgent is a blocked intestine,but then you would not be on internet. Further: Acid may be caused by Helicobacter ,also an open diafragm,can be the cause. Often some food and drinks will be the cause,especially before going to bed. Antiacid pills such as Zantac have been used in our family,for chronic complaints. Sleeping on the right side helps(inhibits large burps from building up),also an extra pillow to keep the head up. Wish you well, Bill
