none operable cervical cancer

Message 3 of 3 Previous

Since the cervix and uterus are not necessary for life, there is no reason for a true cancer of the cervix to be non-operable. The cervix is usually operated on using a cone procedure or an electrical loop excision procedure (LEEP). If the cancer is also involving the uterus, a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) is performed. Is she undergoing radiation treatments?
