Hi Kay, I'm sorry you too have Polymyalgia, but I am so glad that you have found the right help for it. Prednisone is the standard for treating PMR, and you should do fine. Do you have a rheumatologist treating you for this? They are the best doctors for rheumatic diseases. I don't know where I would be without my doctor! I am so grateful for his help! I came down with PMR 3 years ago. I may still have it, but I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis, which surfaced in the last year or so. Maybe you have seen all of the posts in the subject Polymyalgia and Prednisone. I started that thread, and if you have read it, you can see my history. There are some wonderful and supportive people who have posted there over the last 3 years. I have learned so much from them. Ida and I have become PMR pals, so to speak, through all of our posts back and forth, and she has been a dear in showing her kindness and concern. Please post soon, and let us know how you are doing.
