I have Gilbert's syndrome which I believe is responsible for my reacton to certain foods or lack of certain nutrients. For example I cannot get past one pint of beer without beginning to feel unwell and yearning for sugar. The day following a few pints I have food cravings and want to nibble all day . My greatest craving is for smoked salmon but roast fowl helps . Unfortunately I also have beta thalassemia minor trait which might explain the symptons. I cannot eat eggs, chocolate or drink red wine for fear of migraine type conditions . Can anyone offer advice, please?
