i just got to know that my husband was diagnosed with a disease related to neurologically related respiratory disease which called 'spontaneous' something or other. the doctor too mentioned something about infection and his lungs hardening. my husband was too distraught from being told that he'd only live for another 2 years to bother about finding out the details OR seeking for a second opinion. this happened a year ago when he suddenly collapsed at work and to date he had 4 attacks since. his symptoms are headache/dizziness, difficulty in breathing, sleepiness which all leads to him blacking out. the last attack happened 2 months ago. my husband refusal for medical attention is based on his insistence to spent the rest of his two years of life without medication or constant hospital visits and instead, he's going for alternative remedy in a form of a mushroom/herb known as lingzhi. pls help me find out what he is suffering from and what can be done about it. could he have ALS?
