My 5 year old son recently had a blood test that tested positive for celiac disease. He was tested once before for this disease and was told by his pediatric gastroentronologist he did not have the disease. Has anyone else had a positive blood test and yet not been diagnosed with the disease? He has never had any of the symptoms of this disease except for being small. I am wondering how reliable the blood test is? I have heard a biopsy will conclusively pinpoint the disease but we still need to meet with the specialist to decide how she will make the determination. Everything I read on the disease indicates many patients have no symptoms to several symptoms. Has anyone's child been diagnosed with this disease and can you share your experiences with me?
