I also have diverticulitis along with irritable bowel syndrome. High fiber sometimes makes one constipated instead of helping. Drink lots of water, try juicing instead of eating the fruits and veggies. Do not eat raw veggies as that will bloat you even more. Steamed veggies are good, but I have found that juicing is best. Stay away from tomato seeds and any fruit that has seeds like raspberries. They get stuck in the pockets of the colon which is what diverticulitis is. Spicy foods are okay. You will see a big difference in juicing and you won't be bloated.
