My husband had knee surgery on September 12, 2002. He received a blood clot in his calve approximately a week later. (He had been active through this time.) From this he has received approximately six or seven blood clots in his lungs. Most current the two he has now. He has been on lovenox, coumadin, meridon, heparin, and aspirin. He had horrible side effects to the coumadin, and it was not working. He also has been urinating blood, and is in pain continuously all over his body. (The levels in the hospital from the medication was difficult to level out, why will this medicine not work?) His diet is fine. My husband was told yesterday two diagnosis one that it could be terminal from a doctor at MSU and another diagnosis of not knowing what the heck is going on? We have been married alittle over a year, I am pregnat with our first child, and I would like us to be able to raise our child together. Please help. Is there anything that he could be doing that would prevent the medicine to work?
