I was informed today that I have probably 2 herniated cervical disks and surgery was to be considered. It has been approx. 6 months since I injured it, and currently I have little pain and regaining strength in the arm. I had gone through the numbness, pain in the shoulder/arm/back and 60% loss of strength. I am to continue with activities with caution. What are my chances of recovery without surgery? The orthopedist feels that surgery is forthcoming.
