I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. They did surgery on me to remove my tonsils and to cut away some of the soft palet. My snoring used to rattle the windows and I would stop breathing. My wife says that I no longer snore and I do not have difficulty breathing. Hope this helps. I would see an ear, nose & throat specialist.
