I really feel for you. I've used to have a severe case of dry eyes. I went through a lot of punctal plugs and an excrutiatingly painful cauterization. Nothing helped. I had grrreat luck with a product called Moistur-Eyes by Carlson Labs (bought in a health food store). It worked wonders for me but hasn't so much for others I've recommended it to.
