My son had exactly the same thing...They kept him in the hospital for a long time....this is very dangerous; very few live to talk about it. Tell your husband to take very good care of himself by exercising & eating right and for heaven's sake do not smoke...My son smoked and the doctor told him he would die if he smoked another cigarette...He quit and is now fighting weight. They have taken him off the blood thinner but he over-exerted his body exercising so tell your husband, also, start slowly with that. Good luck to both of you.
