Darlene, I had my gall bladder removed by laparoscopic surgery 2 yrs. ago. All I have are 4 small scars (2 are 1/4" and 2 are 1/2") with one of the 1/2" scars being in the bottom of my navel. I felt great after the surgery. Pain free at last! My surgeon told me it would be easier on my digestive system to adopt a low fat diet but there were no restrictions placed on me. I went back to work in 3 weeks (I was ready to go back after 2 weeks but dr. said no) with only a restriction on lifting heavy objects for 3 more weeks. I could do basically anything I wanted to though. Hope this helps. Good luck!
