In March of 2001, my mother's CT scan showed many liver cysts that a radiologist said were "unremarkable". Now, almost 2 years later, CT scans show stage IV liver metastesis--with primary adenocarcinoma in the small bowel. . . I understand most cysts are benign. Does anyone have an experience with cysts that were malignant, and specifically, how the diagnosis was made?
