B-12 deficiency

Melissa

Message 1 of 1

I am 24 years old and I have so far been diagnosed with a B-12 Deficiency. I go from taking shots to 1 every two weeks for 3 months and then 1 once a month for 3 months. My B-12 levels are still staying at a low avarage for what my intake needs to be. My doctor is currently taking more blood tests to find out if I have an autoimmune desease. My doctor at the same time still cannot beleive that I have the deficiency, since I am only 24. I am just trying to get a little more insite. There are a couple of things that are up in the air. The first being that I am only 24, the acid levels in my stomach are up more then normal, another thing is my stomach digests food quicker than the normal person. For example say it took the average person 30 minutes to digest food in their stomach, it takes me 10 to 15 minutes. I am just trying to get a little insite. I will not have the results for the blood work for another week. After reading up on the different autoimmune desease's this one I have the most symptom's of. I am almost sure. If you have any further information you can provide to me please advise.
