You have to treat everything that may have touched the lice such as combs, brushes, pillowcases and sheets and bedding, hats etc. Also, figure out where they picked them up and that source should go through the same disinfection proceedure. If it was at school, the parents of all the children should be informed to be on the lookout for the little critters. Ideally, everyone in your household should have their individual combs, brushes, towels etc. and no mixing. You may have been creeped out by the whole thing as I was years ago and thought I still had them. I had gotten them from my daughter. But we were both treated a couple of times to be sure. I think I was feeling sweat running down my scalp and thought it was lice. There was nothing there. Good luck!
