Laurie - I am so sorry for your loss. Although your brother had many tests they didn't seem to do a cardiac catherization test which might have found the problem. I had been bothered for several years with intermittant claudication in the legs which caused pain when walking any distance. In the past few months I was having feelings of nausea. I was given a stress test on a treadmill and immediately rushed to the cardiac wing. Following the above test it was found I had four blocked heart arteries and had open heart surgery. It was also found that I had an aortic abdominal aneurysm. Surgery was performed last week and interrupted. Now I'm waiting to heal and face another surgery in six weeks for the aneurysm. I was one of the lucky to be correctly diagnosed but I'm still not out of the woods. This might explain what happened to your brother.
