thigh pain

Carol

Message 2 of 3 Previous Next

I have thigh pain with my Myofascial Pain Syndrome which accompanies my Fibromyalgia. A couple of things have helped me. At the pain management center the physical therapist showed me a couple of good stretches that helped a little. Getting adequate deep, good quality sleep is imperative. Ask around for a physical therapist who does Myofascial Release Therapy or a doctor who does injection into the knot of myofascia that causes the pain. Find some good books on the subject somewhere. I take 3 chewable Milk of Magnesium pills twice a day. (NOT capsules) and Calcium 600 twice a day in addition to my good multivitamin and Vit E 400 IU. and a Mega B complex capsule each day. (all reviewed and approved by my Rheumatologist)People with Fibromyalgia are found to be deficient in these. Get as much stress out of your life as possible and start walking 15 min/day and stretching. When I get super stressed out, I take KavaKava and it calms me down without making me sleepy. Hope this helps.
