I had a hysterectomy in 1996 and this was the best thing I could have done. I was 31 at the time. You do have some bothersome symptoms, but that is with any surgery. The symptoms eventually go away and your life returns to 'normal'. This is not a surgery to enter into lightly. It is a life-changing experience. Good luck to you.
