Hi, I am not a physican but a physical therapist. From what I understand your disease is an autoimmune disease in the rheumatic disease category. I believe it can go into remission. Usual treatment does involve pred. which decreases the inflammation. It is a hard disease to get an accurate diagnosis because so many of these disease do not have a specific blood test. The sed rates are elevated but does not define this specfic disease. Make sure you are seeing a rhumatologist that you have faith in. Good luck.
