Don't worry too much. I had the same thing happen to me, it turned out to be a combination of strep throat, pharyngitis and tonsillitis. The doctors perscribed amoxil and every thing was ok. The infection cleared up and I went on to have a full term healthy baby boy, who will turn 15 this year.
