For years I suffered from cystic acne. I have been visiting my dermatologist on a regular basis. I had tried every antibiotic and contraceptive out there for my acne. My dermatologist finally decided that I had just had enough. He perscribed me to take acutane, but like most ,I also was afraid of long term side effects I had have heard of. Anyways I was on acutane for 3 months . For the couple of months, I had chapped lips , itchy skull from the dryness. but after the two months. I noticed a drastic change on my back and on my face. I have been of acutane for 1 year and so far so good. There are times , when I still break out, but not like before. Acutane worked for me. It's really hard to suffer with acne, so be aware of the side effects and judge on your own.
