I know someone who's son was greatly helped by taking her son somewhere in Tx. and or another state and taught words that would help them connect to words they had no visual brain image of. Like numbers and words like and, but, because, etc. that have no pictorial iamging in their brain and they (the child) and the parent who can teach the amount of words they will have to learn (one day at a time) for a long while are taught how to do this.
