I believe your doctor probably gave you a shot for Chickenpox because you had herpes zoster (a form of Herpes Simplex?) which I think is also called "shingles". Shingles are associated with the Chickenpox virus. I've heard that people who've had Chickenpox earlier in life now and again get Shingles. However, I think that may be a different form of Herpes from what the original writer has.
