Many years ago I had much the same reaction to a CT scan, accompanied by severe projectile vomiting. It turned out I am allergic to iodine. I also have a reaction to Betadine, the solution they use to prep your skin during surgery. I sought the help of an allergist and was able to avoid any other incidents.
