Hi Nancy, I know exactly where you are coming from. I also have been dealing with ovarian cysts since my teenage years. My periods are also very painful especially the first 2 days. The pain is so bad that it goes down my legs and I can barely walk. I was on the pill for 4 months and had nothing but trouble with it. My legs swelled up so bad that they went numb. I retained water everywhere, and they told me that I couldn't take them anymore. I now am awaiting surgery to have a paratubal cyst removed.
