My son had Epstein-Barr at age 4 . He was very sick, but eventually got well - even though there was some minor re-occurrence on and off. I always wondered why he got this. New info from a great doc might apply. He was delivered by 'suction' (one step before forceps) and i think his neck was knocked off - inhibiting the flow of spinal fluid and leaving him vulnerable. Did your grandson have a traumatic birth ? If so find out as much as possible about the craniosacral chiropracters. There is a great one here in L.A. who knows about such things. I trust him completely. Wish I'd taken taken my son there as an infant. He now has scoilosis and a few other problems.(age 20) I'm sure it is related to his birth. My prayers are with you.
