Without having another scan or doppler you will not know for sure. If you develop pain, swelling or redness in either leg, report it to your doctor. If you experience any breathing difficulty, be sure and contact your doctor immediately or go to an ER. I have had DVT 3 times and 2 Pulmonary Emboli. I will be on Coumadin for life now to try and prevent the clots from forming (they don't know why they are forming) and I am going to have the Greenfield filters inserted in my veins to prevent them from going to my lungs again, if they do form. I just came out of the hospital after 10 days on blood thinners because I had a "pain in my right calf" that hurt to stand or walk, went to the ER. They scanned and found another clot and admitted me immediately.
