My mother had cellulitis last year(left leg). In the hospital her leg was wrapped with an ace bandage as tight as it could be wrapped. The next morning she had scars where her leg was swelling and the ace wrap began to dig into her skin. Today leaving scars, swelling, and numbness. I would like to know what are the effects of this tight wrap. Health professional have said wraps should always be loose, not tight. Could this compromise the situation and if so, how so? Thank You!
