Mark, My friend went to the Shea Clinic in Memphis for treatment for tinnitus. She had the lidocaine injections into the ear drum and some other treatment, with oral medication to take for several months. Her tinnitus has lessened somewhat in severity, but is still there. And some days, it's just as bad as it was before the treatment. If you'd like more info from her, e-mail me and I'll put you in touch with her. Frankly, I don't think there is a "cure"..my last ENT doctor told me to "learn to live with it." And it's frustrating. Mine is more noticeable at night when things are quiet. Good Luck.
