I had my twin boys 5 weeks early.I was in labor for the 2 weeks prior, but my doctor gave me Brethine & nifedipine to try and stop my labor.Nothing worked.My boys weighed 4.1 & 3.6.After it was said and done we discovered that the placentas had fused and one baby was getting all the nutrition, and the other was starving. What causes this? I feel if they would have taken them when I first went into labor the smaller would have weighed more. Could I have prevented this condition?
