I started Glucophage 500mg 3Xday when diagnosed over a year ago...along with Lipitor. In 4 months I had no side affects except vertigo, which came on suddenly and one attack lasted half hour severe vertigo..unable to walk or sit up without holding on to chair, bench, etc. So doctor reduced Glucophage to 2x 500mg day and no more Lipitor and no more vertigo either...combination? Just know no more vertigo now. Bill
