My daughter is now 15. She was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 7. She also had a rare seizure disorder that deteriorated her learning and behavior almost completely. It was heartbreaking and also very hard to live with. We did finally find a med from Mexico(Sabril) that was helpful. We thought she would never outgrow her disorders, but at age 14 she did! Her eeg showed that the rare disorder(CSWS) was gone. It still showed abnormalaties at the frontal lobe, but she has not had a seizure for a very long time. We did not think she would ever be independant, but she proved us wrong. I know the disorder is awful, and sometimes the meds are worse. Good luck. Never give up.
