marie : 10/07/00 /6-01-2001 my father had a AAA with a diameter of5.8cm . He under went stent surgery which consisted of 2 tiny slits - one in each side of the groin. the operation lasted about 5 hours and my father was relased two days later the operation was a total success . he had no discomfort and was up about like nothing happened. he was 72 years old and was involved in a car accident one month before the surgery. I have to say it was the best decision we made and when it was over it lifted a lot of his worry about his health. I would do it myself if i had to.
