i am 49 years old,for 6 years and numerous medical opinions,test and mental degration,loss of hair deformed face swollen joints extreme pain only to be told i have a mental condition in which i pick the sores and pulled my hair out, from stanford uc sanfrancisco and unv. of portland, ive had skin biopsys, i had my knee joint replaced sept. 1999 a few days after surgery the doctor informed me i had a bacteria i then had a new dr. for this infection i informed this cold know it all person about my years of constant skin lesions and joint stiffness loss of hair she in response gave me the look as if i was crazy like so many before i had a glimmer of hope maybe something might change for the better, they inserted a pic line and gave me blood transfusion and i left the hospital after 2 weeks with picline, i lived 500 miles from where i had the surgery as my aunt left me the money to have my leg (knee) i had no insurance and i was to young for my ohp to be approved. the cost was about 70,000, when i kept informing theese dr.s i still felt the same and i needed more antibiotics they ignored my request, so i go in for my 1 year check up iam told something is wrong i am to go get blood work bone scan, iam told i have to do the proceedure over,have the joint removed block in place of for 8 to 9 weeks pic line inserted and then the joint replacement again, no insurance only to be told that when i got some form of insurance they would give a date for surgery that was in dec, 2000, it is may and i went of a vaaacation to santa monica i developed a large absess on my face i could not move my neck so i went to the hospital tired of it all i did not inform them of this saga and 5 minutes with this new dr.i was informed i needed to have intravienious antibiotics that i was in danger of blood poisoning, so here i am better and dont know where to go from here i do not want this dr. to (old) ORTHO to perform another mightmare he does not know i have found out about cellulitis any ideas????????
