I have been treating patches for years until my fibromyalgia blew up. Now I am fighting rashes and dry red patches to the point where I am embarassed to go out. I am on metro gel but haven't gone any farther than that. I would appreciate it if you could tell me some of the treatments you have been through until this time. I do not know anything about the surgery you speak of but I would like not to have to get to that. Have you ever heard of trying oregano oil? I am sorry that I can not give any support on this matter but I would appreciate any you can muster.
