one herbal treatment would be usnea, its a lichen and is an herbal antibiotic, and is said to be strong enought to get rid of strep throat. My friend used it for herself for a sinus infection and for upper respitory infections. it worked for her and some others i know. Good luck with treatment. My son had chronic ear infections when he was little and had tubes in his ears. He still had trouble after surgery but not as severe. He is nine now and is having the same problem and i am trying the usnea with him along with the antibiotics to see if works. Also saw something on webmd I think about new surgery for tubes that would eliminate it in future trying to find.
