Michelle, I had acupuncture treatments for four years every week because I thought that's what was growing my hair back. After a couple of months of treatment, my totally bald head started growing thick, healthy hair. After four years of treatment (I spent about $4,500), about 75% of my hair had returned. But then all of a sudden, it started falling out again, and I was still doing the acupuncture. I sadly realized that the acunpunture had nothing to do with my hair growth. It was merely a coincidence. After being on an email listserv for the last year, and discussing this with many people, I've learned that alopecia has a life of its own and does whatever it wants, whenever it wants. So I bought myself a very nice wig, and I'm getting on with my life. Let me know if you want the listserv address. It's been a great comfort to me to have the support from the people on this list.
