My daughter is now 12. I'm convinced that the over prescription of antibiotics during her first 18 months is at the heart of her reactions. She was tested in a hospital setting. she has kept PB tubes since age 14 mos., which I feel has prevented the need for reaching the point of hospitalization. But now she has an ear infection (with the tube) that is threatening. My problem has been the doctors that don't take this seriously. Just this morning, they walked in ready to inject her with one of 'the' drugs. I had to argue and refuse. Not only are the allergies themselves frightening, but also the realization that if I'm not there to listen and question and fight them, they could easily create a life threatening situation for her. Praying for all who are in this same awful boat!
