My 33 yr old daughter was just diagnosed with strep from a rash covering her body, pain in her joints, and general exhaustion. A week previous her 4 year old had been treated for strep throat. This type of strep with rash, if left untreated can lead to Rheumatic Fever. (She thought she was having an allergic reaction but I insisted she see the doctor.) She's on antibiotics now and much better after just 3 doses.
