I too have a young child that has eczema since about one month old. After many frustrating answers from our doctor we did consult a natural health practitioner. I think that it was probably the tea tree oil that caused the reaction. We were told that it should never be used on any open skin because of its strong anti-septic solution. I was also shocked to hear that you were using a steriod type cream as we were told by our dr that it should never be used on a child under 2 as it does enter the blood stream. Here are a few suggestions that seem to have worked for us. Bathing ever other day,not using soap (if you must use cepthapil),applying pure vitamin oil on outbreaks,continue with the aveeno apply within 3minutes after being bathed to ensure it soaks in. COnsult a naturalist of go to a health food store they often deal with products that are lactose free. GOOD LUCK!!!
