i was diagnosed at having thrombocytopenia in early march. my specialist is taking his time- calling for more blood tests and a sonogram in late april. i'm new to this game and i'm wondering what i can expect in the way of possible underlying causes and treatment. separate blood tests showed a platelet count of 138...then 131 (normal is 140?)..also, white cell count is normal. any light shed on the subject will be appreciated..thank you..
