I had the gastric bypass about 6 years ago. I also had the reflux taken care of while in for the surgery. In fact, that was one of the reasons ins. decided to pay partly. I understand that ins companies are getting smart, and are paying for part or all of the cost now. Get a good check up, have your dr. write EVERY complaint down that you have that is obviously from your weight. I wouldn't be surprised if your ins. will pay.
