Hi. My 10 yr old daughter was just diagnosed with this particular type of tumor. She has it in her left femur and they found another in her knee. She'd been complaining about her leg hurting for a year. Recently she began limping. I am very worried about this. I am not convinced that this is what she has. She has had an MRI and bone scan, plus numerous x-rays. I haven't read to much about young girls with these tumors. Most people seem to be male, and older. She's using crutches and a cane right now to keep the leg from breaking or snapping. I asked the doctor if there was anyway these tumors could become cancerous. He did not tell me "Absolutely no way" what he told me was "Probably not, but anytime you have unhealthy cells in your body, there is always a risk". I am taking my daughter for a second opinion. If you have any information on these, please let me know. I am very worried about her. Thank you
