My son was born May 1, 2000 with cmv. I must have gotten it when I was pregnant but have no idea when. My son has been on gancyclivir since he was 11 days old. He has mild hearing loss in both ears and was diagnosed in January with mild spastic cerebral palsy. From all that I have been reading, he could be much, much worse. He is such a delightful little boy! I would love to hear from anyone who has had a child born with cmv.
