I am a 59 years old woman and I have been diagnose with stomach cancer. I had the total removal of my stomach. It's not easy the first few months after the operation.Your eating habits have to change, want to or not. I get nausea a lot after a meal. I eat 8 small meals a day. Can't drink anything cold.it gives me cramps.I get very dry mouth,So I take a sip of water often or a sip of juice.coffee.After eating I get a lot of nausea,so I have to lie down after eating. My doctor gave me Ativan, which helps for the nausea part.I take 0.5 when I feel real sick but I can only take it once a day.It helps a lot.Taking more doesn't help at all. It will just make you feel like a vegetable or you will feel sleepy a lot I take Ativan to have a normal life and being able to go out to a restaurant is very important to me.and the Ativan works for me.Its better to ask your doctor about that.before the operation I was 155 pounds now I am 108 pounds.all the cancer has been removed so I didn't go for other treatments.I have a good life.I will live. The hard part is the eating habits.Hope this will help Cecile
