endoscopic scoliosis surgery

I'm an 18 year old girl in Austin, Texas. I developed a 38 degree curve 3 years ago and my pain and disfigurment have been getting worse and worse. My doctors tell me that scoliosis doesn't hurt and there's nothing they can do because I'm done growinng then send me home. However from the research I have been doing I have found countless people who tell me that not only does it hurt them as well, but that it just continues to get worse and worse. I am at the point now where I have days I can hardly get out of bed and have lost most of the strength in my left arm and the pain in that arm is so horrible that I am taking 3 times the dosage on my muscle relaxers just to function. So even though my bend is only 38 degrees I am trying to see how feesable surgery is. Also I am studying to be an actress, in fact that is my only goal in life, so the scarring and loss of flexibility has been the main reason I haven't persued surgery harder. Today I found a website saying they can use a series of two centimeter incesions and partial fusion to correct scoliosis. Has anyone had this kind of surgery done? Or can anyone give me any advise? I just don't know what to do and I'm scared, my life is so limited now because of the pain and weakness that I can't imagine it getting any worse. Thank you, you can e-mail me at Haley4711@hotmail.com
