My friend in Calif has had both of his adrenal glands removed, 9/20/00. They have not found a tumor. His skin is very dark on palms of hands, feet & face. He is suffering severe muscle & joint pain and at times shortness of breath. His doctors do not seem to be alarmed with this. They have only seen 2 cases of cushings (he being the 2nd). I am extremely worried about him. They had to open him up to remove the adrenals, they did not have success with the side removal. They said he had so much mass that it was difficult to find the organs? 10 hr. surgery. What causes so much mass? He still suffers stomach pain inside & out? Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have any suggestions I might be able to share with Frank? Thank you very much, Sylvia.
