I was diagnosed with the epstein barr virus on 8/1/00, it is now 2/1/01 and I still experience symptoms. I first went to the doctor, and they did a monospot and all kinds of blood work and they found nothing. Then my doctor tested for the IgG and IgM anti bobies and concuded that I was Positive for the virus. My symptoms at first were fatigue, pain in my lower right abdomen, and sore throat. My doctor said that there is no cure, just a healthy diet. In December, 00, The fatigue had gone away for the most part, but I was experiencing swollen glands, especially in the neck,headaches all the time, shortness of breath, and sores in the inner wall of my cheek. I was also tested for HIV, by my reqest, and that was negative. I am still experiencing these symptoms, and now that I have had this so long anxiety and depression have set in.
