Hi, Cleo. For what it's worth, I had extreme swelling of the left foot & leg, only it came on suddenly. My Dr. suspected blood clot and ordered me into the hosp. for complete bed rest. Cat scan showed nothing. She called in an orthopedist who diagnosed a Baker's cyst,confirmed by MRI. He gave me a shot of cortisone.
